Our Approach

​

Bienestar Therapy & Wellness, Inc. operates using a hybrid model that includes both in-person and telehealth services.

​

We value flexibility and work-life balance while maintaining clear expectations around reliability, attendance, communication, timely documentation, caseload management, and continuity of care.

Our full-time Associate Therapists are expected to maintain a consistent weekly schedule and work toward approximately 25 completed client sessions per week.

​

We understand that flexibility is important, and clinicians have some ability to structure their schedules within the needs of the practice. At the same time, consistency is essential so clients can maintain regular, recurring appointments and receive dependable care.

Joining Our Team

​

Our Associate Therapist position is best suited for clinicians who have already developed foundational psychotherapy skills and are comfortable managing an outpatient caseload while appropriately utilizing clinical supervision.

Direct psychotherapy experience is strongly preferred, and experience beyond graduate practicum is preferred.

W-2 Associate Therapist Compensation

​

Clinical Rate:

$30–$33 per clinical hour at hire, based on experience and qualifications.

Administrative Rate:

$18 per hour for approved administrative duties.

A formal performance review is completed at approximately six months, with the opportunity for the clinical rate to increase up to $35 per hour based on performance, reliability, documentation, caseload management, and overall contribution to the practice.

Position Requirements: Education & Registration

​

Master’s degree or higher from an accredited university in a qualifying behavioral health field, such as:

• Marriage and Family Therapy

• Social Work

• Clinical Counseling

• Psychology

• Counseling

​

Active California Board of Behavioral Sciences registration in good standing is required as one of the following:

• Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT)

• Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW)

• Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC)

​

Direct psychotherapy experience is strongly preferred.

Experience beyond graduate practicum is preferred.

​

Clinical Experience

​

Candidates should be comfortable with:

• Managing an ongoing outpatient caseload

• Conducting biopsychosocial assessments

• Diagnosis and treatment planning

• Completing timely progress notes and discharge documentation

• Providing individual psychotherapy

• Working with children, adolescents, adults, and/or families

• Assessing suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, and other safety concerns

• Developing safety plans when clinically appropriate

• Recognizing when consultation or a higher level of care is needed

• Maintaining accurate, ethical, and timely clinical documentation

​

Experience with trauma-informed care, CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, or other evidence-based approaches is preferred.

Bilingual Spanish/English clinicians are strongly encouraged to apply.

Availability and Schedule

​

This is a full-time position. Clinicians are expected to maintain a consistent weekly schedule and work toward approximately 25 completed client sessions per week. Although we offer flexibility in scheduling, reliable and consistent availability is essential to maintaining continuity of care and minimizing disruptions for clients. The position includes both in-person and telehealth services.

We are seeking clinicians who are able to maintain a dependable schedule and communicate proactively regarding scheduling needs, time off, and changes in availability.
